Introduction

A lot of new books are regularly published on these periods. We shall propose a selection.

Generative art is the cutting edge of digital art. Here, the computer is not only a tool ; it becomes the natural environment for creations into which the artist intends to transfer his/her generative capacity of emotions and, if we go to the limit, the creativity itself. Doing so, the works are freed from the artist's limits, and frees the artist from ancillary tasks, opening space and time to deepen the discourse. But, of course, this progress has its price : the efforts of programming or, at least, of a more abstract view, which is never a sinecure.
