From Forest to Nogoland
Will you take part ?
There is something of Fred Forest in the events and concepts of Nogoland (Stéphane Degoutin and Gwenola Wagon). A same way of using (more or less) technology to increase alertness about it. Their next events are in line with theif films or their happenings (sort of) like the Nogo voyages (ant the name of their group, nogoland.com). Naming it is getting what they mean. Next to come :
- World brain. See the teaser on Vimeo. Presently under development it is is a film and an essay. It takes the viewer through a journey inside the physical places by which the Internet transits: submarine cables, data centers, satellites. The film adopts the point of view of the data. Parallel to this exploration is an enquiry on the utopias and the ideologies linked to the emergence of a collective mind and the hypothesis of a global brain.
In june, they will shoot a sequence of the film, which will depict a symposium that takes place in the forest. They are looking
1/ for extra actors (no experience required)
2/ any person wishing to present a proposition for an alternative project of life adapted to the ultraconnected society.
