Cécile Babiole Interactive Installation
Trafic installation multimédia interactive de Cécile Babiole
Toulouse, Quai des Savoirs Dec. 6, 9, 10 and 11.
A typical example of one of present and productive development modes for digital art: integration into institutional sites, be they industrial or towns. That gives width to the works and enhanced expression affordances (as well as welcome customers) to digital artists.
This installation detects civil air traffic around and presents it on perceptible way on the expo place.
It sets on stage the monitoring of air activity in the region, by sounds and lights. Sound of taking off or landing panes around are synced with an animated prresentation of their track on a LED carpeted soil. Visitors are incited to walk on gangways and so get an "air view" of the moving shapes reacting to the sound environment. .
Programmer : Jean-Marie Boyer. Organized in partnership with Toulouse Blagnac airport.
