European Digital Arts Residency Call Out for Artists in Ireland, France and Latvia.

"Eucida is a Creative Europe funded project led by RUA RED South Dublin Arts Centre Company (Ireland), in partnership with Espace multimedia gantner (France) and Rezeknes novada pasvaldiba (Latvia). It is an interactive and innovative community of digital artists and cultural workers connecting to imagine new ways of artistic mobility, to use technologies as means of sharing  experience, creative practice and professional opportunities transnationally both for artists and new publics in reality and virtually. The project is looking to make digital arts accessible to a non-arts audience, and bring a wider public debate on arts and technology through a programme of ambitious and unique experiences.

"We are delighted to launch this call out for three digital artists (Ireland, France, Latvia) to take part in the European Digital Artist in Residencies strand of the programme that will be taking place from the 18th of September 2017 to the 29th of September 2017.

"Artist in Residency provides artists with an opportunity to bring their practice to a new, productive, supportive and dynamic environment located within one of the three Partners’ venues, Dublin, France and Latvia.

"The participating artists (one from each host country) will be supported and encouraged to share their work practice with the other selected artists sited in Dublin, Belfort and Rēzekne. Each artist will also have the support of the project staff and wider local peer groups. The local peer group consist of fellow artists, curators and academics that work in the digital arts field. There will be an additional opportunity for all three artists and the three local peer groups to have a one-hour web call discussion to conclude the residency. Built in to each residency is the opportunity to share practice not only between the selected artists but also for new audiences to engage with the artists and their work.

"The selected artist from Ireland will travel to either France or Latvia, the host county will be decided based on the applications received and the work proposed. 

" This residency will run simultaneously with residencies in partner venues. Each artist will be supported in terms of collaboration of practice between the three artists via online conversations/ webcam technology. Consequently, a good level of English will be required.
The Residency offers flights, accommodation, a stipend and an artist fee. The selected artist will be provided with a studio/ space (needs dependant) and access to the Partners’ venues equipment and facilities.

" Dates of the residency are as follows: 18th of September 2017 to the 29th of September 2017.

Level of English proficiency.
What technical requirements you need in terms of desk/studio/equipment set up, internet access, local amenities, extra staff support, outreach or community support.
What you propose to accomplish/research/make in your host country.
