Transgression is an important facet of art. But how can digital art be transgressive, as soon as the computer is not a mere tool? Computers and automata are not supposed to fail, let alone to transgress their programs. If they do it, we will call it a bug, not an artistic expression.
To push farther, the random function brings a kind of transgression under the form on unpredictabiliy combined with the algorithmid frame. Generative art and Artificial Life seen as an art will create a mor powerful kind of creativity. You will find some ideas in the specific diccan's notice.
