Tresset: Whilst we were here

Patrick Tresset’s new exhibition Whilst we were here… opens at
Watermans in London on Wednesday 18th October 2017. At his new solo exhibition,
which will run until 7th January 2018, Patrick presents two new installations:
Whilst we were here, Human Study #5 and RNP-FB, Human Study #6.
On a large rectangular table RNP-A, a duo of ambidextrous mobile robots, scribble
continuously on a 2.4 x 3.6m sheet of paper and occasionally observe with curiosity
the visitors. RNP-FB, Human Study #6 is a new six armed robot dedicated to draw
full length depictions of humans. Earlier versions of the RNP-A were first featured
in the Before the beginning and after the end, as part of a collaboration between
Goshka Macuga and Patrick Tresset exhibited as part of Macuga's solo show at
the Prada Foundation in Milan in 2016.
Opening Reception & Talk
At the opening night of Whilst we were here…, Patrick will be in conversation
with Dr. Nicholas Lambert. The conversation, in partnership with the Computer
Arts Society, will take place at Watermans Theatre from 18:45 to 19:30 at the
opening night on 18th October 2017 and will be followed by drinks. To book a

Join the workshops
Work with leading artists Damien Borowik and Patrick Tresset in “Whilst
we were here… Computer Drawing,” a series of five workshops at Watermans
on Saturdays 21 and 28 October, 4, 11, and 18 November between 2pm and 5pm,
