" Zurich’s Museum of Digital Art presents the first solo show of
Canadian multimedia artist Vincent Morisset and is a must-see for its digital,
interactive experiences designed with both children and adults in mind.
" The founder and director of the AATOAA studio made a name in 2007 when
introducing computer interfaces to online videos with his piece Neon Bible,
the first interactive music video which he built for Arcade Fire using mouse-clicking
to trigger neon lights and gestures of the band’s lead singer.
" Always working with a cinematographic storyline and exploring possibilities
for different narratives, Morisset advances animation to interactivity notably
with Blabla (2011) and Way to Go (2014).
" In 2018 his feature in the exhibition “Capitaine Futur” at
the Gaîté Lyrique gave him the opportunity to develop real-life
interactions through sensors, wind-blowing, and touching walls. His latest projects
like The Reflektors connects his images to a device, for instance tracking phones’
distance and inclination to shape visuals. In joining directly and intuitively
participants to his content, Morisset merges video games mechanisms with a new
realm of aesthetic experiences.
