Zach Lieberman at Muda

MuDA’s program this semester features an exhibition of American artist,
researcher, and educator Zach Lieberman who gained critical attention for his
work with open frameworks and creative coding. Inspired by figures like Sophie
Tauber Arp, Ruth Asawa, and Armin Hoffmann,
Lieberman aims to show the playfulness that can emerge from working with technology.
As with generative art in general, his artistic practice evolves through iterations,
focusing on the making of forms in still or animated images rather than the
development of numerous narratives.
With his “poetic computations,” he provides a visual explanation
of how invisible computational structures of codes function. Recipient of Ars
Electronica's praised Golden Nica and of Design Museum London’s award
for Interactive Design of the Year, Zach Lieberman presents a robust selection
of digital artworks and interactive installations at this solo show.
